
1. Kentucky, Illinois, and Indiana have the highest wind speeds at about 30-35 miles per hour.
2. In North Carolina, the highest wind speeds are 35 miles per hour.
3.The highest pressure indications on the country barometer comes from Oregon with a pressure of 1024 milibars.
4. In our state the highest pressure is 1001 milibars.
5. When it comes to low pressures, bad weather is usually associated with it. This could be caused for a number of reasons, but the most logical has to deal with how low pressure systems bring precipitation to lower areas nearer the ground. That means that more condensation takes place and more precipitation is bound to fall.
